This all started when a woman with lost hope met a woman with a dream. Carla was employed for over a decade with no intentions of making any changes. Deep down inside, she was sad because she felt trapped in a cycle of work, eat, sleep and repeat. One day she noticed a reserved new hire, Nic Richelle, and it was love at first site. Carla could not have predicted how the universe would pull them together but within 3 months, Nic was placed on Carla's team within the company.

After months of getting to know each other, these two were amazed at their chemistry. Carla learned about Nic's dreams and Nic learned that Carla wanted to live boldly and find a deeper meaning to life. She just didn't know where to start. Nic explained to Carla that she would have to let go of her fears and take a leap of faith. Shortly afterwards, these two quit their 9 to 5 jobs and became Class A truck drivers! This initial leap of faith inspired their motto: "Live Life for a Living" which means to make the best out of every phase of life you are in and focus on becoming your greatest version.

Living by this motto has led Nic and Carla on fun, exciting, and sometimes scary adventures. Overall, there are no regrets and they feel as though there are not enough examples of black women living in this way. Deep in the subconscious of many black women are thoughts of not being smart enough, strong enough, pretty enough and the list goes on...

This list inspires Nic and Carla to continue pushing past their own fears and limiting beliefs and to share their journey on various social media platforms in hopes of inspiring women who are similar to them.
